Recycling Expansion and Modernization Program

Recycling Expansion and Modernization (REM) Program DCEO's REM Program awards matching grants to Illinois organizations and businesses to accomplish recycling market expansion and waste reduction goals, while demonstrating public economic benefits. The REM Program diverts materials from the solid waste stream, thereby conserving our natural resources, while boosting the performance of Illinois businesses and organizations, to sustain and expand the Illinois economy.

US EPA Region V Great Cities Partnerships Program

The Great Cities Partnerships program is a way for EPA Region 5 to collaborate with the Midwest 's largest urban areas in working on local environmental issues. Under these partnerships, EPA has provided $80,000 to $250,000 in grants for each Great City to focus on an environmental or public health project of its choosing.This grant comes from a EPA Regional Geographic Initiative (RGI) fund.The Great Cities projects usually last from one to two years and require measurable results. The Great Cities are also encouraged to work with local partners to leverage the EPA grant funds and expand these projects.

The Manufacturing Extension Partnership is a nationwide network of resources transforming manufacturers to compete globally, supporting greater supply chain integration, and providing access to technology for improved productivity.
